CD RELEASE PARTY!!

Come one, come all - tickets on sale now!

Amy X Neuburg & The Cello ChiXtet celebrate the CD release of "The Secret Language of Subways" -- an 'avant-cabaret' song cycle for voice and three cellos, with live electronic percussion, looping and processing.

"A wonderful performer/composer... [The Secret Language] songs channel the rhythms of urban life through the seriocomic sensibility of a born entertainer." -- Joshua Kosman, SF Chronicle

"Amazing, triumphant, ambitious and soaring... There really is something evocative about the NYC subway that triggers the creative spirit. Mix in the Iraq war and 9/11, and you've got fertile ground for lots of fragments and images that coalesce into the songs that form the 'Subways' cycle." -- Craig Matsumoto, KZSU

More cellos! Opening the show will be the incomparable Zoë Keating performing her one-woman orchestra of solo works for looped cello.
